BEST IN THE WORLD

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is regarded as one of the best managers in the world. He spent more than 25 years in charge of Manchester United during which time he made the club one of the best in the world. Over the course of his managerial career, which lasted more than 40 years, he has lifted more than 40 trophies. Former Tottenham and Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has praised the achievements of his compatriot, who will be taking over as the ambassador and director of the club from the new season.

He has also revealed that the achievements of Ferguson is not unique because every manager manages to get promoted from the Championship can be considered in the same breath. Cardiff, Hull City, and Crystal Palace were all promoted to the Premier league recently and they will be playing in the top division of English football this season. Redknapp has praised the achievements of Mackay, Steve Bruce, and Ian Holloway respectively. He has said that their achievements are in no way inferior to the achievements of Sir Alex Ferguson, Rafa Benitez, and Arsene Wenger.

Redknapp has also said that all the three promoted teams from the Championship this season have a real chance of staying up in the Premier league after their debut campaign. Redknapp, meanwhile, will be focusing on getting his QPR team back into the Premier league.

“Malky Mackay, Steve Bruce and Ian Holloway fly the flag for Team GB as the managers who got their clubs promoted from the Championship. What they have all done is as good as anything Alex Ferguson, Roberto Mancini, Rafa Benitez and Arsene Wenger achieved. To get a team promoted is a hell of a task and I believe all three teams have a great chance of staying up next season,” said Redknapp.
