Sir Alex Ferguson has ended any hopes of a return from retirement after stating that he feels extremely happy to watch football from the stands.

The former Manchester United boss retired from football two years ago. He is regarded as one of the finest managers in world football. His acumen in the transfer market led to several big signings for United like Eric Cantona and Cristiano Ronaldo. United can certainly do with this acumen right now, as they are struggling to return to winning ways. The club has brought in the likes of Memphis Depay for £ 25 million.

These signings of up to be the work of current manager Louis van Gaal. Ferguson has stated that he completely does not miss football, since he gets to stay in touch with the latest happenings as a Manchester United fan from the stands. The transfer period is also the time of the year when a manager gets incredibly busy, but Ferguson says that he no longer wants to be involved in it. Much of Van Gaal’s signings last season did not work out in the way that the Dutchman expected and he will be hoping for a much better return from the likes of Depay.
